Emotional Freedom Technique 

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), also known as tapping, is a practice that consist of tapping meridian points along the body whilst talking about past events or emotions. The practice of tapping along these meridian points allows you to ‘tap’ into your body’s energy system and gently rebalance It in the process. 

 In a recent study published in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease, a group of people ‘tapping’ on a stressful event showed a 24% reduction in the level of cortisol compared to the control group of 14%. This is a significant finding and demonstrates the power of EFT.

EFT or Tapping is able to work for so many different things by exploring the emotional issues that might underlie the problems you’re experiencing. It can improve how you feel about yourself, get rid of limiting beliefs, help you work through past traumas, and move on from things that are holding you back. The goal with Tapping is to realign the body, mind, and spirit in order to let go of negative emotions and the tension they cause, and to move forward in a positive and healing direction.

So how does it work?

Energy  (or QI, chee as it is known in Eastern medicine) circulates through your body along a specific network of channels. Meridian points that can be mapped throughout the body allow you to tap into this energy system. Many therapies use the meridian lines, for example acupuncture, reiki and reflexology.

All emotions run through this energy system and negative emotions leave a disruption in a person’s energetic flow.  In order to restore balance to the body’s energy, EFT will allow you to mend the negative emotions and physical symptoms that stem from the energy disruption. Tapping restores the body’s energy balance, and negative emotions are conquered.

Working with EFT allows you to heal past trauma’s, combat and resolve negative emotions and help to calm the voice in your head.  I will be your guide through this gentle process and help you rebalance your bodies energy system.

Facial Rejuvenation

Commonly raved about as the safer alternative to surgery facial rejuvenation (other wise known as cosmetic acupuncture) is a gentler approach to the anti-aging process.

Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years and is widely practised over the world to treat a number of different physical and mental symptoms, from pain management to stress relief. It is recognised by the World Health Organisation as an effective and safe treatment. 

So how does facial rejuvenation work; around 40 to 70 tiny and painless needles as inserted into the face. As they pierce the skin, they create tiny pricks in the skins threshold. These are known as "positive microtraumas" which your body senses and moves into  repair mode. In repair mode your bodies lymphatic and circulatory system are stimulated which work together to delivery nutrients and oxygen to the skin cells. This therefore nourishes the skin from the inside out, not only helping the complexion but also generating a healthy glow in the skin. The microtraumas also stimulate the production of collagen which as we know helps improve elasticity lost as we age. 

This treatment not only evens out fine lines and wrinkles, but can reduced eye bags, puffiness and drooping eyelids. We recommend a course of 6 weekly sessions for maximum results. Each session includes a facial massage at the end leaving not only your skin rejuvenated but also relaxed.

Stress has a huge impact on modern living, in a recent study it was found that over 85% are experiencing stress regularly. With over 39% of adults stating they feel “too stressed” in their day to day lives. This is an astounding figure especially when you take into account the list of problems stress can cause. Many patients are prescribed medication to help alleviate the symptoms of stress but these effectively do nothing to manage the causes. As many of the causes of stress are reported as money, work, family life it can be hard to tackle these with a medical solution. What’s better is to find a longer term manageable solution to reducing stress.

Chronic Fatigue 

Chronic fatigue can often be misunderstood but for those suffering it is very real and debilitating. Symptoms that can be dismissed by healthcare professionals and friends can leave sufferers feeling exhausted. The struggle does not just affect one physically but it can also become a lonely experience with many sufferers of Chronic fatigue withdrawing into themselves and many have reported depression and low moods due to their symptoms.

 Tiredness in Chronic Fatigue patients is often paralysing and along with aching muscles, and insomnia. As healthcare professionals struggle to help patients many sufferers are choosing to seek alternative therapies to ease their symptoms.

Numerous studies have been done over the years to investigate the effects of alternative therapies on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The Shenzhen Hospital of Chinese Medicine researchers recorded a 90% total effective rate and a 50% total recovery rate in CFS when treated with Acupuncture.
